So...what has been happening with us since August? Well...in October we got to combine two of my favorite things: Halloween and Disney. You would think with all of the times we have been to Disneyland that we would have been during Halloween time but NOPE. Well, not until now anyways. It was so cool. One thing I love about Disney is that they overdo EVERYTHING. If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing right? There were awesome decorations everywhere and all kinds of transformations.
AND...we got to see Ange!!! Matt & Ange moved to LA a year and a half ago and we have missed them so much. And when they came to Utah to visit we were in Lake Powell so we didn't get to see them. So we were so excited that she came to Disneyland to see us. It was so nice of Brian's family to let her tag along with us at lunch one day and then for the whole day at Disneyland the next day. There was a lot of crying when she left that night but it was so much fun to get to spend some time with her. And here I am crying again so back to the vacation...

Another really awesome part of Disneyland at Halloween time is that it seems like there a ton more characters around than I have EVER seen. Even princesses were roaming around the castle. Heidi bought the kids all an autograph book and they were completely filled within the 3 days we were there.
They have a new store in Downtown Disney called Ridemakerz where you can create your own remote controlled car. You choose a body, tires, rims, accessories, sounds, etc. Suzzi and Heidi bought each of the kids a car and they were so cool. The kids had a blast making them too.

The coolest part was that we got to go to Mickey's Trick-Or-Treat Party. Thanks Heidi!! The park closed at 7:00 to the public and only people with a trick-or-treat ticket got to come in. They had trick-or-treat stations where you could walk through the line and they would give you a handful of candy and at each entrance you would go through about 4 stations. They would fill as many bags as you had and they even had a healthy treat option at each station. But they would give you both the healthy AND the sugary kinds if you wanted. We didn't even go to all of the locations and we had so much candy that we couldn't even carry it. The next morning we were flying to San Francisco so we had to figure out how to get all of the candy home. We filled an entire small suitcase with just mini candybars, M&Ms, and Skittles and had about half of a pillowcase full of tootsie rolls and then a bunch of other bags randomly filled with apples, carrots, raisins, craisins, etc. It was pretty funny. The best part of the Halloween party though (in my opinion anyways) was the fireworks. It's the best fireworks show I have ever seen at Disneyland. They had a huge bubble screen on the side of the castle that had villains talking and singing throughout the show and the castle would light up with all different colors. I know...it doesn't sound that neat but it was really cool. By the end of the night, everyone was absolutely EXHAUSTED but we didn't leave until midnight even though we had to leave at 6:30 the next morning to make our flight out.

Disneyland was just part 1 of our awesome vacation. Part 2 to come later.
