NYC - Day 3

Brian's favorite baseball team is the Mets and it just so happened that while we were in New York, the Mets were playing the Yankees at Yankee Stadium. Of course that was something we wanted to see so we decided to do the Sunday afternoon game, hoping that would be the warmest. Plus, Sunday was the only day it wasn't supposed to rain. We ended up scalping tickets and had no idea but we luckily happened to get perfect tickets for us. We sat in the wheelchair section so we had a cushioned chair instead of a bleacher seat and we had room all around us where Bauer could run around and play. And what's a ball game without some ballgame treats, right!? You should have seen the looks on everyone's faces when we passed on my way to the clean up Bauer's face. Ha ha! You would think the kid had never had cotton candy in his life.Bauer could give you almost a play-by-play account of the game. He loved watching the scoreboard and learning about what everything meant. And even though the Mets got their butts kicked at the end of the game, we still had a blast. And it was really cool to be able to go to Yankee Stadium. Such a neat place.

TripAdvisor became our best friend trying to find places to eat. It had suggested a place called Carmine's (I think)that we decided to try that night. We got the nightly special which was a sampler platter and it was absolutely GINORMOUS. This is it AFTER we had dished out 3 plates full. Wowza!

Looks like fun! I love New York. I never thought it would be great place to take the kids. . .but maybe I'm wrong! Bauer seems to have enjoyed it. I love his cotton candy face!

Oh. . .and I don't think you're boring Aunt Cake. :) I like reading your blog. . .I just don't always comment on everything. I've also been really bad at checking blogs lately. I'm doing better though! :)

We miss you guys!
